The Medical Counseling Committee conducts NEET Counseling 2025 for admission to medical and dental programs throughout India. The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has announced the provisional results for Round 2 in accordance with their most recent timetable. Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round are the four rounds in which the counseling is conducted. 100% MBBS/BDS Seats of BHU, 100% MBBS Seats of AIIMS across India, 100% JIPMER seats (Puducherry/Karaikal), 100% AMU, 15% IP quota seats of ESIC, and 15% All India Quota seats of States (participation of the Union Territory of J&K is subject to their contribution of seats) are covered in one section of the counseling.
The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will provide counseling for 85% of the State Quota seats of DU/I.P. University (VMMC/ABVIMS/ESIC Dental), 100% of the faculty of Dentistry (Jamia Milia Islamia), and 5% of the internal Quota of Jamia students. The other portion of the counseling for the remaining 85% of medical and dental seats will be handled by the designated counseling conducting authority of the respective states, which grants discretion over the eligibility requirements, registration and counseling fees, and other regulations that are specified by the counseling authority.

NEET Counselling 2025 Process
NEET Counselling 2025 primarily consists of Registrations, Choice Filling, Choice Locking, Seat Allotment, Counselling Rounds, Upgradation, and Reporting to Colleges. These steps are essential to ensure a smooth admission into your desired medical or dental college. Below are the detailed steps to follow:

Step 1: Registration
- Visit the Medical Counselling Committee’s official website.
- Click on ‘UG Counselling Registrations’ and fill the form with your personal and academic details.
- Make payment via debit card or UPI.
- Preview your form and download the PDF or take a printout.
- Logout after registration and proceed to the Choice Filling section.

Step 2: Choice Filling
- Log in with the same credentials used during registration.
- Select from a wide range of medical and dental colleges — no limit on number of choices.
- Save your filled choices and proceed to the locking stage.

Step 3: Choice Locking
- Review and lock your selected choices carefully.
- Once locked, changes are not allowed until the next round.

Step 4: Rounds of Counselling
The counselling is conducted in four main rounds:
- Round 1: Fresh registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification & reporting.
- Round 2: Auto-considered from Round 1 or fresh registration for new candidates.
- Round 3: Similar to Round 2 for unallocated or newly registered candidates.
- Stray Vacancy Round: Fresh registration, vacant seat filling based on merit. No upgrades or shifting allowed.

Step 5: Seat Allotment Process
- Choices are locked after filling closes.
- NEET rank and category are used to determine allotment.
- Allocation is done based on:
- Your NEET score & category rank
- Locked choices
- Seat availability
- Check results on MCC/state website.
- If Allotted: Download the allotment letter, upload documents, and report to the allotted college.
- If Not Allotted: Wait for the next round or apply in the Stray Vacancy Round.

Step 6: Upgradation
- Applicable for candidates allotted in Round 1 or 2 only.
- Check if you’re eligible for upgrade in the next round.
- Modify your choices (if allowed) and lock them again.
- If Upgraded: Download new allotment letter and complete reporting process.
- If Not Upgraded: Retain previous seat.

Step 7: Reporting to Allotted Colleges
- Download allotment letter from MCC or state authority.
- Prepare original documents: Admit card, scorecard, mark sheets, ID proof, category certificate (if applicable), etc.
- Report physically to the allotted college within the deadline.
- Submit documents for verification and pay admission fees.
- Seat is confirmed upon successful verification and payment.
